Chicago (N)'s Young severely injured 
CHICAGO (N) - When it rains, it pours. Chicago (N)'s 
ace <a href=p1813.html>Charles Young</a> will not pitch 
for at least 5-6 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. 
He suffered a serious injury in a game against New 
York (N) where he left the field in the 3rd inning. 
After x-rays were taken the diagnosis did not surprise 
many: Bone Chips Elbow. Surgery will be performed next 
week. This season Young compiled an ERA of 2.80, going 
5-5 in 15 starts. He fanned 90 while giving up 86 hits 
in 90 innings.
